Female convicts underwent in-depth preventive medical examination at JIEK No. 21 of the First Regional District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The event was organized in cooperation with the Human Rights Representative (Ombudsman) of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health, the General Prosecutor's Office and the Penitentiary Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
More than 10 leading specialist doctors of the Ministry of Health were involved in the medical examination. The state of health of prisoners was studied using modern diagnostic tools. Also, the children of convicts in the colony's orphanage under the age of three underwent a full medical examination.
Such activities allow to strengthen the health of female convicts, to detect their diseases early and to take measures for timely treatment. Such work, carried out in cooperation with responsible organizations, is a clear expression of the fact that the reforms carried out in our country are aimed at ensuring human rights and legal interests.
