Today, in all the countries of the world, according to their internal policies and capabilities, a systematic fight against this disease is being carried out. 

The urgency of fighting corruption is that the rule of law cannot be fully ensured without eliminating this evil. The appearance of corruption causes negative consequences, which can lead to violation of someone's rights, negative impact on the development of the country, and up to the destruction of the society. 

Corruption affects all areas of any country and society, including the economy, social sphere, and even politics. 

It can not only hinder the development of any country, but also seriously threaten its national security. 

The level of corruption has a strong impact on the country's political and economic reputation in the international arena. According to UN data, the world economy loses 2.6 trillion dollars annually due to corruption. 

In our country, attention is paid to the issue of fighting against this disease at the level of state policy. In particular, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Combating Corruption" was adopted in 2017 in order to prevent corrupt crimes, identify their causes and the conditions that allow them to be committed. In this direction, the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established, which works effectively. The issue of combating corruption was specifically reflected in the new version of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

The law "On Combating Corruption" defines concepts such as "corruption", "corruption offences", "conflict of interests", and defines the main directions of the state policy on combating corruption. 

In this regard, important regulatory legal documents were adopted, administrative ones aimed at preventing corruption 

reforms are being implemented. 

Firstly, the system of consideration of appeals of individuals and legal entities has been improved.

Ensuring the communication of officials at different levels with the population, the opportunity for citizens to apply directly on current issues made it possible to significantly reduce the incidence of corruption at the lower and middle levels. 

Secondly, freedom of mass media, openness of activities of state bodies and their 

practical measures have been taken to ensure close cooperation with the mass media, because where there is openness and transparency, it is more difficult for corrupt people to act. 

Thirdly, the state service delivery system was fundamentally reformed.

More than 150 state services are provided to the population with the help of convenient centralized and modern information and communication technologies.

Fourthly, in recent years, mechanisms for ensuring the openness and transparency of the activities of state bodies, as well as institutions of public control, have been improved. Widespread use of digital and online technologies has increased public accountability of government agencies. For example, a system of selling land plots and state assets, as well as vehicle license plates through online auctions has been launched.

Fifth, within the framework of the relevant decision of the President, public councils were established at each ministry and state body, which are considered an important link in ensuring effective public control over the activities of state organizations.

In his speech at the 75th session of the Assembly, he emphasized the fight against corruption, and noted that the uncompromising fight against this phenomenon in Uzbekistan has reached a new level, the adoption of important legal documents, the creation of an independent structure, and the importance of this path for our country has been shown to the whole world. 

The work done by Uzbekistan to create effective financial, legal and institutional mechanisms to fight corruption is bearing fruit.But it should be noted that the fight against corruption is not just a task of several years. This is a continuous process, and the Uzbek government is determined to take new steps to ensure the success of its anti-corruption reforms in accordance with international standards in this field.
