When it comes to master leather glover Israel Madrimov, most people first of all recognize his powerful punches, speed and high technique. These aspects made the athlete one of the most promising representatives of professional boxing. What distinguishes Madrimov from others is not only his physical strength or technique, but his discipline and focus.

Another unique and noteworthy feature of the employee of the IIBB TVBSO of the Tashkent region, Major Israil Madrimov, is that he accepts victories with simplicity and humility, without giving in to excessive passions. We asked a few questions to the Asian boxing champion and the winner of the Asian Games, the former WBA World Champion.

- What is Israel Madrimov most afraid of before entering the ring?

- Behind every battle is great responsibility, the honor of the Motherland and the blessing of the people. I am not afraid of my opponent, but of not being able to justify the trust of my people. When I enter the ring, I feel that I am fighting not only for myself, but for the whole of Uzbekistan. Therefore, my biggest fear is not being able to justify the trust of my fans.

- As a son of Uzbek, what do you feel in the world arena?

- Like most people, I am proud of the land where I was born and raised. After all, many great scientists, brave and courageous people have grown up from this land over the centuries. As a representative of such a country, I always have a burden of responsibility.

- In your life, which one caused you to grow more: victory or defeat?

- Of course, victory strengthens a person's passion and desire for further achievements. I take defeat not as a disappointment, but as an opportunity to see and understand my shortcomings and work on them. In some cases, defeat educates a person more strongly than victory.

- Did the ring make you stronger...

- Let me tell you, the ring was a big school that prepared me for life. I learned not only to fight in the ring, but also to be patient, to withstand pressure and to get back up after being knocked down. Today, I see the benefits of these lessons in my life. It was sports that taught me to take any blow with determination and draw the right conclusion from it.

- Did you have to give up something because of boxing? Have you ever had a dream that you haven't told anyone about and kept aside?

- Sport requires a lot of hard work and discipline. Due to the lack of time and constant activities, there were times when I was left out of simple joys, fun, holidays, and family circles in my childhood. While my peers were having fun, I was working out in the gym. At times, my childhood seemed like hard work. But today, looking back, I realize that those difficulties were not in vain.

- What was the role of the team in your success as a skilled boxer?

- The support of the team, coach, parents and relatives gives great strength to the athlete. If one of these factors is missing, it will have a negative impact not only on the result, but also on the human psyche. In particular, the atmosphere in the team plays a decisive role in climbing the sports ladder. Therefore, the team should have a healthy atmosphere, mutual trust, respect and a common goal. That's the only way to achieve high results. Athletes in our team understand each other well and always support each other. Our character and interests are similar and close. Therefore, unity and solidarity in the team is an important factor in each of our successes.

- As we all know, the national team of Uzbekistan will participate in the World Football Championship. Please share your thoughts on this.

- Football is not only a sport, but a big field that unites the whole nation and shows the honor and pride of the country to the world. In particular, the presence of talented players - our peers and classmates Jalaluddin Masharipov and Jamshid Iskandarov in the ranks of our national team gave me special pride and joy. In addition, our players such as Eldor Shomurodov, Abbasbek Faizullayev, Abdugadir Husanov are always working hard on the field for the development of our national team, the honor of the country and the trust of the fans. Their hard work, courage and patriotism are an example for all of us.In a word, I wish the members of the national football team of Uzbekistan good luck and great success from the bottom of my heart. I believe that they will raise the flag of our country even higher and return to Uzbekistan with worthy victories.

- Which battle you won left a special mark in your memory?

- Every victory has its own place. However, the 2018 Asian Games are particularly memorable. At that time, raising the flag of the Motherland was a great honor and pride for me. Also, becoming the world champion in professional boxing is one of the unforgettable moments. After that battle, I felt the results of our many years of hard work. It's hard to put this feeling into words.

- If one day you leave the ring, what kind of person would you like people to remember you as?

- Every athlete leaves the ring at some point. But humanity remains. I want to remain in people's hearts as a good person, an athlete who has benefited the Motherland. This is actually the biggest achievement for me.
